The Pennsylvania sex offender registry is run by the PA State Police. State law requires lifetime registry for those who have “two or more convictions.” The State Police have favored an aggressive interpretation of this law, requiring some registrants to remain on the sex offender registry for life. A Supreme Court majority ruled that the law requires two distinct incidents to require lifetime registry.
