With more than 80% of the vote, California has pass a new law requiring sex offenders convicted of an internet crime after January 1, 2017 to report their email addresses and other internet identifiers. Offenders will have 30 days to report any changes or new identifiers. Law enforcement can only use this information to investigate a sex crime.
