A New Jersey sex offender has been sentenced to lifetime parole and as a condition of his parole is barred from accessing the internet or owning anything capable of accessing the internet. He has challenged this condition of parole as unconstitutional and his appeal has now reached the New Jersey Supreme Court. The argument is that a lifetime ban from the internet violates First Amendment rights.
