A Federal Court lawsuit fighting retroactive enforcement of Tennessee’s sex offender laws is following in the footsteps of the successful case in Michigan this year. The lawsuit cites 10 cases around the country that have recently lead to retroactive application of the sex offender registry as unconstitutional–including the Court of Appeals case from Michigan.
