In 1994, Elizabeth Ramirez, Cassandra Rivera, Kristie Mayhugh, and Anna Vasquez were accused of sexually assaulting two young girls. They have been fighting to clear their names since. In September, a documentary, “Southwest of Salem: The Story of the San Antonio Four,” was released with their case as its subject. After 22 years, these women have finally been exonerated by the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals.
