An ordinance in Krum, TX controlling where sex offenders may live is likely to be defeated in court. Other small cities with similar policies are likely to be effected. In 2007 it was ruled that small Texas cities could not determine where sex offenders may or may not live. However, there is a bill heading to the state legislature that would give those cities the power to pass their own residency restrictions.
