Current California law allows sex offenders convicted of less egregious offenses to apply to have their information removed from the sex offender registry website. The Internet Exclusion Bill (AB 558) would not allow these offenders to apply to be removed from the registry.

The bill will be considered by the Assembly Public Safety Committee on April 18.
